River Cruise - Experiences for all Ages

What are the benefits of a River Cruise?  This style of cruising is becoming more popular for more age groups.

From the Danube, to the Rhine, to the Mekong and the Chobe in Africa.  Each river tells a different story and we can't wait to hear all about your experience. With the options now available there's something for everyone including 20-30s and Families.

A River Cruise gives you the perfect opportunity to see the sights along the rivers which you would not normally see when travelling by coach, taxi or train.  It's a unique way to travel offering ease, breathtaking sights along the way and fine dining onboard.  As you travel from city to city, you can relax with a glass of wine, taking in all the wonderful sights.  As an added experience, we always recommend extending a few extra nights at either end of your sailing.  This gives you extra time to see the sights at your leisure in these extra two cities.

River cruising is a smaller, more intimate experience than Ocean cruising.  If you are already an avid cruiser, we would certainly recommend this option if you are looking for something new to try with more sightseeing options.  It allows you to explore charming picturesque cities that are not accessible to the larger ocean ships.  In addition, to destinations such as the Nile in Egypt and the Mekong river to name a few.

For families, Adventures by Disney offers educational and fun filled sailings to keep the whole family entertained with your beloved Disney Characters onboard.  For the younger 20-30s generation, U by Uniworld (Active Cruising) is a great option with their modern ships, onboard activities and entertainment.  Our Travel Advisors will recommend the best options for you so that you have the best experience.

As the ships are smaller, you can often dock right in the city, giving you the opportunity to explore with ease.  Many sites and attractions can often be found within easy walking distance due to their location which adds to the experience and saves time travelling.  As you are not in the ocean, you will also find the sailing to be very calm as there's no waves on a river.  Plus you can experience how the locks work as you travel the rivers.

River cruising is the perfect way to see multiple cities and you only have to unpack once!
